 It was on an August summer night With nothing much to do All restaurants and clubs locked down And all the pubs too A little place was born You didn't have to travel far It was right there in the kitchen And it's name was Car's Bar Its beginnings were quite simple A worktop with four cans But soon came the need for expansion Into the lounge to watch the bands Queen came round one night With both Adam Lambert and Fred Elvis was booked a few times So were the Manics and Simply Red There were hours of karaoke With flashing disco lights Streamed concerts from theatres And 70's cocktail nights Cheese nights and drinking games Live rugby on the big screen Though the pub quiz wasn't up to much Neither was the darts team Christmas parties were cancelled But Car's Bar carried on Right into the new year Valentines Day and beyond Lots of dancing and silly songs Songs that were quite rude But they were cosy nights at Car's Bar Nights just made for two Then the lockdown...
