A Strange Dream

 Waiting at the bus stop

I saw you passing by

You paused for a moment

Turned to me and smiled

Then I recalled a dream I had

Just that very night

You'd been there in my bedroom

Arms around me, tight

Such a strange experience

As real as life could be

As is your spirit travelled

Just to be with me

In the dark your voice was clear

As vivid as I've ever known

You told me that you loved me

But when I awoke I was all alone

So I wonder when I dream tonight

Will you return to my bed

Or is it just the Horlicks

Messing with my head!
